Ancestor:Descendants:

The eggsnapper split from the plentsnapper. It worked its way up the river and lives in the water, land, and the trees. Since it still has frog-like eggs, it must lay them in the darkpalm's rainwater-collecting bowls. Now they do not have to stay by the river, but can go further inland, so long as there are darkpalms. It still has the camouflage skin, which it uses to sneak up to unsuspecting forest roamers and snatch the egg right out of their back legs. Their front eyes have grown longer eye stalks for better periscopic vision while swimming. Since they have no more webbed feet, their tail has grown longer and thicker and is used for propulsion.
