The fermiroot split from their ancestors and grew twice their size. Without predators they have be able to balloon in size. Like their ancestors, their roots are symbiotic with the nitrocycle microbes and help turn barren biomes into places where more complex flora can grow. Like most purple flora, they photosynthesize with their purple chloroplasts and convert yellow sunlight. They act as the secondary successors to the biomes of Fermi.
