Ancestor:Descendants:

The field swarmer split from its ancestor. Its main adaptation is its electro spines, in that they now completely cover the upper part of its body. The spines now conduct a magnetic field around the organism, allowing it to detect any object that enters the magnetic field, in a similar way to earth's knife fish. Since its detection field is only on the upper part of the body, they spend most on their time on the water floor. This allows them to perceive the world in the muddy water of rivers and other waterways. Because of the decreased visibility of its niche, its eyespot has atrophied.

Individuals live for a year. They reproduce every year at the start of the warmer months. Young take a month to fully grow.
