Ancestor:Descendants:

The common oceanscooter has replaced its ancestor, the seascooter. With its food source spread all across Sagan 4's ocean, the seascooter flourished. They have become twice as large as their ancestor, and their mouths are now pointed down where their food is.

Instead of crawling on the floor, they now swim to get to their food faster. Their spikes are still able to produce a positive or negative charge, so that if more than one spike is touched a circuit can be closed. This deters predators from eating them. They will spawn in the water during the spring.
