Ancestor:Descendants:

The firecracker tree replaced its ancestor in the Nuke Tropical Rainforest. Unlike the lightning tree, the firecracker tree has evolved several string-like fibers on the ends of each branch, which are used to start the burning process more quickly and make a crackling noise, which is where it gets its name. Due to the fact that it has spread into the less humid Nuke Temperate Woodlands, it has become slightly shorter than its ancestor. It still reproduces by lightning striking it and allowing seeds to grow in soot. Sometimes, these fiber-strings fall to the ground and creatures use it for nesting.
