Splitting from its ancestor in Soma Temperate Coast, the flabnose grew 2x larger than its ancestor and has adapted into an ambush predator. Its skin has changed color to blend in with the golden sands of Soma, losing its photosynthesis in the process. It has the ability to wiggle the nose-like protrusion on its face, attracting prey closer to its mouth. It stays perfectly still on the seafloor, wiggling its nose, waiting for prey to come near. When prey gets close enough, it lunges at it and swallows it. Its stomach can expand to swallow prey half its size. it no longer swarms, preferring to live a solitary life in order to catch more prey, yet it stays near other flabnoses so it can find a mate without needing to swim far distances.
