The flagellavor replaced its ancestor, the oceanvar and split from its other ancestor. Due to the predatory pressures from the unkropi and yanviru, the oceanvars of Arctic Polar Sea formed hybrid-symbiosis relationships with other microbes in the region. The flagellavor is one such relationship between its ancestor and the crocuflagella. They are so successful that they have also spread to Raq Temperate Bay.
A crocuflagella cell is now attached to the from of the organism; the two cell types share in photosynthesizing. The sensory flagella allow the organism to better detect its surroundings, and so avoid predators better. This final evolution of the oceanvar was the one which tipped the scales against the ancestor, and so the oceanvar was out-competed in the Arctic Polar Sea.
