The oceanvar split from the quadvar. They originated in Ovi Salt Lake and Marsh, and soon moved to the ocean and other bodies of saltwater. Another mutation caused them to again double their number of cells. They are just like their ancestors, but the outer-most cells are now adapted to keep salt out by using water vacuoles over saturated with sugar in their cell walls.
