When a sudisflutans attempted to eat a flash cell, instead of the light producing organelles being destroyed, they stayed inside of the sudisflutans. It can now scare off larger predators by excreting one of the light producing organelles, which burns brightly. A light receptor in the membrane of flashflutans will then cause it to excrete another one of its light organelles, which causes a chain reaction among all flashflutans in the area. Due to this, none of the flashflutans could maintain their organelles in the Jujubee and LadyM sunlight zones, but due to its improved grasping "arms", flashflutans was able to replace both its ancestors in the respective twilight zones.
