The floating stickyball split from its ancestor, the limestone ball, when a population of limestone balls grew near the Hydro Water Table. Every time a limestone ball released its spores, some would fall into the water table, and die. But occasionally a spore would survive. These limestone balls evolved into the floating stickyball. The floating stickyball’s roots have atrophied, and it now uses its stickiness to capture microorganisms and dead matter. The floating stickyball has been so successful, it has spread to the Ovi and Ittiz Water Tables as well as Hydro Water Table.
