The flovar reside in stationary water. Flowing water will endanger the cell, as it can break open easily. It moves through the water with its fan-like tail and fights with others of its kind to stay near the surface in order to absorb as much light as possible. They cannot survive in murky water, so they will prosper in places where there are no other creatures. They cluster in groups, creating green clouds in the water.
