Ancestor:Descendants:

The fuzzpalm replaced its ancestor. It has greatly increased in size due to island gigantism. Its trunk is structured so the upper part is flexible, preventing it from being damaged in high winds. Other than these things it's basically the same as its ancestor.

Individuals live for 40 years, taking the first 10 year to mature. They produce thousands of light blue spores at the beginning of each year which are collected by the fuzzy leaves of other fuzzpalms for fertilization. Once enough spores have been ejected an individual will begin growing darker blue berries in the vacated space; each berry take a 3 days to grow and will fall off the parent tree in a week's time. The berries' outer coating is watertight allowing them to float on the incoming tide and be transplanted to other parts of Jaydoh's beaches.
