Ancestor:Descendants:

The fuzzshrub replaced its ancestor, the fuzzy beachballs and spread north. They have developed into a cylindrical shape with a hard bark layer around the trunk. At the top the fuzzy seeds bud off and fall to the ground. Like their ancestor they have purple photosynthetic "fuzz" on them. This helps them retain the heat they absorb during the day. During the winter they can stay dormant under the snow until spring comes again.
