Ancestor:Descendants:

The gooballs split from the stankyballs and moved to the Raptor Limestone Caves. They prefer to grow on the ceiling of the caves, not too far from the entrance, since they need the light for their photosynthesis. In many ways, they are a lot like their ancestor. They still cluster together and the gooballs that don't get any light still decompose into a sticky liquid. When exposed to air, this goo will quickly harden and turn into a tough, elastic material, though the surface will remain sticky. When a new gooball grows, sometimes it pushes another gooball off the clump. However, the hardening goo will prevent this gooball from answering gravity's call and falling to the ground. It will stay attached to the clump through a sticky, elastic cord. New gooballs may grow on the end of this cord, creating new clumps.
