The grassblaster has split from its ancestor. Following the newly evolved glassgrass, it has moved into the Martyk Plains. Doubling in size, the grassblaster's legs have elongated with tougher muscles, allowing it to both see above the grass, and the ability to run for longer distances. The sound of the blast it makes with its butt-sacs creates a loud boom which not only scares away predators but sometimes stuns them as well. The glassblaster also has blended in with the glassgrass it eats, sporting different shades of cyan that both confuse and sometimes intimidate predators. It lives in larger, medium-sized herds than its ancestor did, roaming the plains in search of good pasture and food. These herds communicate with each other with butt-honks, and live for up to 15 years.
