Ancestor:Descendants:

The greencrest has a long, hollow tooth that resembles a drill. Inside the tooth is a strong acid. As it ingests its food whole, the strong acid is useful for dispatching any organisms capable of escape. Greencrests eat constantly, and can only feed while sitting. Consequently, they spend much of their time sitting, preferably on an elevated surface such as the shell of a Gömböc Roj. As they mature, they spend even more time sitting and feeding, since they are in comparatively less danger when they are older and bigger.

Young greencrests are better at movement than older individuals. To move, the greencrest expels water from its siphons. When its body grows longer, it is less stable in its propulsion-based swimming. To compensate, it spreads out or drags its tentacles on the seafloor as it rockets along. This gives the impression of a bizarre racecar with two nitro boosters at the back. Strangely, the very organism adult greencrests prefer as a 'seat', the Gömböc Roj, is the chief predator of newly-hatched greencrests.

Notes: The organism in the distance is a Crushermaw Scylarian.
