The greenscale replaced its ancestor, the sealyn in Vivus. Its is no longer aquatic and has moved inland. To help it climb in steep terrain it has evolved an extra toe on each foot. It no longer as a small photosynthetic patch but instead is covered in many photosynthetic scales. These not only have increased its ability to photosynthesize but provide it with tougher cellulose scales. The male have brightly colored faces which they use to attract females. Males will fight and bite each other during the matting season. Once paired off the parents will both raise the young once they have been born. They have 2 to 3 offspring at a time. Once old enough to walk they will join the greater herd and migrate around the island of Vivus for food.
