Splitting from its ancestor, the helterant, moved to the Otter Vents. Because the water pressure there is even bigger, it has become much wider and shorter. Not only do the vents have more food sources than the sea floor but the helterant developed a more efficient way of feeding with microscopic organisms. Its shell has many micro openings, with tentacles inside that it uses to catch its food.
