Ancestor:Descendants:

The hopketter split from its ancestor the hopping ketter. Due to island gigantism it grew to 10 times its ancestors size. It has become a more generalized herbivore rather than a nectarvore. Like its ancestor it hops around to move. However it is no longer poisonous and must rely upon speed to get away from predators. Its back leaves has split into many leaves to help it collect more sunlight. Like all ketters it has 2 eyes that can see in light while the other 2 eyes "see" scents. Their long butt-nostrils are now used as a counter balance when hopping. It also works well to make tooting sounds to attract a mate or warn of danger. They are usually solitary but will warn others nearby of danger.
