Ancestor:Descendants:

The hover foi split from its ancestor in the sunlight zone of the Jujubee Ocean. The hover foi now use the gases, like hydrogen, defused from the water to inflate the flaps of its cell membrane to a point that they are able to float out of the water. They will float a few meters over the water during the day to keep out of the reach of aquatic predators. They feed by sticking their feathers, which can grow up to 15 cm long, in the water. They can control the amount of gases in the flaps using their cell membranes, allowing them to sink and float at will.
