The Koseman bubbleweed resulted from a population of marine bubbleweed invading into Koseman's waterways. They acclimated well to the salt bog, salt lake, and the salty lower reaches of Kosman River. However, that errant population eventually developed the ability to tolerate freshwater and invaded further upstream, only to be stopped at the shallow, fast-flowing waters of the montane rivers.

Koseman bubbleweeds are taller than their ancestor, using that height to rise above the Blocks blooblblega that they form mixed beds with. They have fewer segments than their ancestor, with only the leaf-bearing segments remaining. The leaves developed are now diamond-shaped, marginally increasing surface area.

The Koseman bubbleweed will gather nutrients over the year and store it until the summer. Then, it will sequester additional nutrients into its leaf veins to entice Koseman bubblepedes into prioritizing them, often causing the now mature seed bubbles to snap off and float up and out of the water. Koseman bubbleweed bubbles contribute to low-flying aeroplankton around the waterways of Koseman, and will continue to drift in the wind until losing enough gas and falling back down. If a seed bubble lands in sufficiently slow flowing and deep water, it will germinate into a new plant. Koseman Bubbleweeds are known to pop up in small ponds throughout Koseman. After the leaves are eaten off, new ones will take their place. These new leaves will be nutrient-poor and won't reach high levels until the next summer. Koseman bubbleweeds take 1-2 years to mature and have a lifespan of 5-10 years.
