The little forest scamp split from its ancestor. Its "legs" have become stronger and now have a more movable base. Their hind "legs" are much longer than the others and are used for jumping out of danger. They lay masses of sticky eggs, often ranging in the thousands, on whatever surface they can find. They no longer dig holes to hide in, instead, they just hide under large dead things, usually flora, until night. They can be found in huge clustered groups, or loosely scattered about the area.
