Ancestor:Descendants:

The lunar sauceback split from its ancestor to pursue the abundant giga-tube uktank population of Clayren Coast. The lunar sauceback gets its name from its main source of food, the giga-tube uktank. Each full moon the giga-tube uktanks of Clayren Coast and Clayren Beach will meet in the shallow waters along the beach to mate. When this happens the majority of the lunar sauceback population will be waiting. They have evolved a special hooked point on their tails that can be used to rip open the membranes that cover the giga-tube uktanks compressed oxygen filled shells. The loss of breathable air helps to slow down the uktanks and makes them easier to subdue. Once the mating is over the saucebacks have to survive off of what they were able to get from the uktank mating ritual and whatever rustworms and rusty flat sandworms they can find until the next full moon.
