Ancestor:Descendants:

Mega worms are huge, clinging all day to the side of a crystal solar tower; they have little chance of doom. However, they have a weakness: they are open to the air. While Gliding Plents eat plants instead, the flying darts found it easy to simply sit on a mega worm and eat their heart out. Of course, this was not without challenge, and the darts in the land of the mega worm evolved into the mega worm leech.

The sight of a mega worm being eaten to death by hundreds of these things is not a nice sight. A leech will fly up to one and then sit on it, using fluids (that used to be for eating back in the flying preying worm days) to glue itself to the skin. Then, with teeth-like horns, they will eat their way into the worm. They will spend a large portion of their life eating, and then mate. The sticky eggs will hatch quickly and more will appear. Their wings - with only two left - are now only capable of short hovers and flights to a new host. Although sometimes they can freeze in the biting cold temperatures of the high atmosphere, get shaken off by the worm or blown off by the wind, every so often they will eat away at a worm so much that it can no longer hold onto the side of the crystal, and it will fall of back to Sagan 4, leeches and all.
