The nightshroom has split from the glowshroom. Its bioluminescence has been taken to the next level. A large and very visible ‘flower’-like structure has grown on the top of the shroom. Once the shroom has produced spores, the flower’s light becomes clearly visible at night. Although this attracts many kinds of creatures, it is most likely to attract the maw podion, which cannot help investigating the glow of the shroom. As a quick snack, the maw podion will likely eat the shroom, taking the spores with it. The spores have evolved to be able to survive unharmed in the digestive system. The maw podion transports the spores to new locations in the forest.
