Ancestor:Descendants:

The notooth split off from its ancestor the nobuck so that it can escape from predators more easily. It lost its camouflage and it grew big wooden teeth, the leaves became smaller but it still relies on some photosynthesis. It also became faster, it produces more young than the nobuck, its hooves split into toes so that it doesn't trip while it's running, and its ears moved closer to its neck so that it could hear better.
