Ancestor:Descendants:

The orbibom has replaced it's ancestor in the Hydro Scrub. With new plant evolutions springing up all around the scrub, the orbiflor had tough competition for sunshine. The orbibom's leaves unfurl once fully grown and travel across the ground instead of upwards. The undersides now have a red marking which helps trap sunlight inside the leaf to produce more food.

The fruit still grows large to store water and still has needle like structures covering its surface. To put animals off eating it more it's fruit copies the markings of the bombardier clipperkin. This means that most animals will leave the fruit alone. The one exception is the armored brumgo. These creatures seek out and bombardier clipperkins. To counter this, the orbibom has designed a new mechanism at the base of its bulb that is able to send the bulb flying into the air when activated. This means that when the plant is strongly disturbed, the springing mechanism will activate and send the bulb with seeds inside into the air. On impact with the ground, the bulb will explode sending sharp needles and seeds around the area it is in. If left undisturbed, the orb will simple detach and roll away from the parent plant.
