The orbitreehopper split from its ancestor the plurgeyhopper and moved to the Wright rainforest. There it adapted to a whole new lifestyle of living on the massive mega orbitrees that make up this crowded rainforest. It hops from tree to tree and feeds in their softer younger leaves. It can jump huge distances of up to 8 meters though the trees are usually much closer and therefore this is not needed. It evolved stronger pincers in order to grab the trees as it hops to the other side and its legs grown even longer. It now only gets off the trees in order to lay its eggs in the mega orbitrees’ roots and to drink. It even mates on the tree usually at night times in great groups. One can often find up to 30 orbitreehoppers on a single mega orbitree mating in huge groups on every branch mounting each other. They can protect themselves from predator using their sharp legs by whipping with them as they hop away.
