Ancestor:Descendants:

The plurgeyhopper split from its ancestor, the cavehopper. It has returned to the desert and feeds only on the plurgey. Its eyes and skin have adapted to the bright environment of the desert, while their legs are larger and stronger so they can leap away from the many predators. It still lays soft eggs amongst the roots of flora, but now it lays them in the roots of the plurgey instead of the light gatherer plurge.
