The pack islesnapper split from its ancestor, the island skysnapper. It has changed dramatically and no longer flies and can only glide around in times of need and spends almost all its days on the ground. It's main usage for its wings is in order to communicate with silent gestures as it is deaf. It has taken the role of a local predator working in packs of about 10, of which 6-7 adults hunts and the rest guard the eggs. Each couple lays 1-2 eggs every summer.
They no longer feed on coastal creatures and now solely feed on the smaller uktanks that walk along the island. In order to hunt their bigger opponents they work as a pack. They can even takeout adult walking uktanks but rarely choose to do so as they will often loose a few members of their pack doing so. They are still warm-blooded and covered with short feathers that keep them warm.
