The parrotworm lurker descended from the scavenging parrotworm and has inherited many of its abilities as well as developed new.
The beak is still strong enough to break the bones of carcasses that have landed on the sea floor and they also use their beak to break the shell of the blarg pyamus allowing it to eat its soft insides.
Its eyes have enlarged to allow the parrotworm lurker to see in the dark waters, this enables it to hunt the small hooknose urphish that dwell on the sea floor.
