Ancestor:Descendants:

The plains plyent split off from the desert plyent when spores got blown into Darwin Plains. The first and most obvious change is that its leaves have grown in size; this is because, while sufficient in the desert with the bright light, they were not large enough to capture enough light in the plains. So, they grew to fill in the gap between the trunk and branch and branch to branch. Also, the overall size of this flora has doubled.
