Ancestor:Descendants:

The pleppo split from the paddling plent. Rather than diving down to the bottom, it swims across to top of the water and eats the sailily. Its "leaves" are usually extended up and out of the water to collect sunlight. It paddles through the water like its ancestor. Its head has developed a jaw that can grind up plant matter with wooden teeth. Its body is covered with buoyant oil-filled flesh that mimics blubber. Its air hole, which comes out of its back end, has been angled up like a snorkel, so it can breathe while at the surface. When diving, it can close it up and hold in air.
