Ancestor:Descendants:

The pocket barb replaced its ancestor, the yanimalius probisucker and doubled in size. Its side proboscises became huge cups that when put together make a pocket that it uses for storing pitiful barbs. The middle proboscis became an organelle used for producing proteins that extract sugar from the captive pitiful barbs for the pocket barb to consume. In return for the sugar the pocket barb gives the pitiful barbs a safe haven from the outside dangers, and locomotion.
