The polar sunstalk split from its ancestor, the sunstalk. It has moved to Darwin Rocky, Darwin Polar Scrub and Darwin Tundra. It has gotten smaller but has developed more leaves. It thrives in the cold environment thanks to it dark color. It not longer has to follow the sun since its many leaves surround the spore chamber. Like its ancestor it produces many airborne spores out of this chamber. The clouds are so abundant that they cause an orange haze around large colonies. Their bulb-like roots can store up energy during the winter when they may become covered in snow. However their black color typically helps melt the ice and snow around them quicker than other flora.
