The pryer cave fessurum split from its ancestor and took on the lifestyle of hunting. Its legs have been moved directly underneath its body to support its weight, and they have lengthened considerably to give the organism a wide stride. It relies mainly on sight for hunting and is not found in the parts of the cave where there is no light, the grasper-mouths are thin but strong to pry apart the armor of its prey. Its green nostrils are no longer tubes and are positioned near the underside of the head.
