Ancestor:Descendants:

The grasping fessurum split off from the tube fessurum. It migrated from the boreal region to the limestone caves. There it found an abundance of cave ironcage, cave tangle stalk which were currently uneaten by fauna. The cave tangle stalk gave it nutrients need to make organic material, while the cave ironcage provides the ore it needs for its iron parts. They still reproduce using fragmentation, spawning a single offspring about once in a few months. The offspring grows out of a bulb that grows where their tail once was.

Its legs have developed spiny grips to better push its self along when walking. Its three nostrils have become three tube-like nostrils which constantly such in and out air withs its three bag-pipe-like lungs. One is always sucking in while the other is blowing out. Thus keeping its body constantly oxygenated. The biggest adaption are its front arms. They have not only moved above its head but have developed gaspers at the edge of the tube. These gaspers pull off food and then drop it down the long tubed arms. These lead to the two stomachs in the body where they are digested. One stomach is for iron and the other is for organic materials. The first stomach is the organic stomach and breaks down the material into a liquidly mush. Once past that stomach the iron stomach magnetically pull out the iron from the food so they can be used in its hard outer shell. The only waist it has will be of undigested organic materials. All the iron is used. In addition they have developed primitive eye spots on its grasper arms. These can detect only light and dark.
