The riverskipper is an off-shoot of the mantiskipper. Because there was no predators in the Ichthy River, it moved from the Ichthy Swamp to the river. It regains its role as an apex predator, and it feeds on all of the available animals there. The anterior limbs move closer to the mouth, and they arranged horizontally rather than vertically. The pelvic fins becomes fleshy. It moves similarly as its' ancestor. The tail-claws atrophy, as there is no need for them.
The riverskipper is amphibious, just like its ancestor. They tend to be solitary, and are only social during spawning season.
