The ukrequin replaced its ancestor, the riverskipper. With its relative the ukback being the top predator on the river banks it evolved a more aquatic lifestyle. Its back claw become a tail fin and its back legs became pectoral fins. Its front arms moved up close to its hollow harpoon-like tooth and become toothy mandibles. These help grab onto prey while it injects strong acid into it so it can liquefy the insides and suck it back out.
Its large green eyes are always on the look out for prey since it cannot hear or smell. It has developed a more advanced respiratory system with primitive lungs that connect to a blowhole on its forehead. While it can hold its breath for a long time, it must come to the surface to breathe.
It has developed a more advanced spine which helps keep its shape and control its side to side swimming movement. It is cold-blooded and can last for months without eating. They are ambush predators and will strike with a burst of speed. They are not social at all and will only meet to mate.
