The rusty microplaque has replaced its ancestor in the kingdom Magneferrubiota on Wright. The rusty microplaque now absorbs iron, and has evolved a new organelle that lets it magnetized the iron it holds, to let it stick to the teeth, and to attract iron and food particles attached to the iron to it. It has given up aggressively attacking the teeth, as to not harm its host.
