The simple majurum split from it's ancestor, the rusty microplaque, and now no longer lives in organisms. They now live in the soil, feasting on the iron compounds that are prevalent in the volcanic ash, particularly iron oxide. They are found around iron flora, which shed rust. They can sometimes be found growing on the flora, but are no nuisance.
