Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from its ancestor, rusty symbiocells have adapted to life within the volcanic voltflora. It arose when some of its ancestors managed to make their way onto one of these massive flora, and upon sensing the large amounts of nutrients within them that they could use, adapted to them and began to feed on the iron within them. Starting out as parasites, they quickly become quite mild, and then eventually became quite helpful to the flora by aiding them in breaking down the nutrients they acquired and preventing other potentially harmful microbes from invading in return for a minor amount of nutrients that they leached from them.

They now live throughout the volcanic voltflora, and new colonies form within their seeds so that they may spread throughout their habitat. If conditions become poor for growth, these cells will form cysts and go into dormancy until conditions improve.

It now has a single organelle that arose when it ancestors pair of iron-magnetizers fused together, giving it a both increased size and a secondary membrane. It now serves to help locate and process iron so that the cell can use it.
