Ancestor:Descendants:

Splitting from its ancestor, the sandy muckraker adapted to life amongst the golden sands of the western coast of Jujubee ocean. Living a life cycle just like its ancestor, it has further evolved its tail spike into a truly formidable defensive weapon. Should it come under attack, it will viciously stab its predator. While at first sight this would appear to be a simple defensive action, it actually serves a darker function. The wounds it cause tend to cripple its predators while also drawing blood, making them easy targets for their own predators. With this process it can get more potential food to scavenge upon.
