Ancestor:Descendants:

The savanna glowlicker split from its ancestor and inhabited the Hydro Savanna and Hydro Scrub. It co-evolved with its main food source, the savanna orbipalm, whose nectar it drinks. It is slightly shorter yet stuffier in size than its ancestor, still have a wider wingspan. This is due to the fact the orbipalms' spread in the savanna is more scattered and therefore it has to travel long distances every evening. Like its ancestor it is nocturnal, being active from dusk to dawn and photosynthesizing in daylight while sleeping.

The savanna glowlicker also found a new food source, flying seeds of the flightberry. It has evolved a thicker more powerful tongue in order to catch those in mid-air. In order not to be sighted by creatures that might threaten it, it has evolved two glowing organs: one on its tail which is lit only in its travels between trees and another smaller fleshy bulb at the end of its snout which is lit when hunting for better close-range sight. Its eyes also enhanced in their night sight function, making it almost blind in the morning yet have an almost perfect sight at its activity hours. Its suction cup legs also grown slightly bigger and often when sleeping in the morning it stay sucked to one of the leaves or branches and sleeps upside-down. Therefore, its skin color is reddish purple like the leaves of the savanna orbipalms it sleep on.
