The scorpioraker replaced its ancestor. It has also moved into the Raq Temperate Bay.
It has monopolized on its detritivore lifestyle. The segments of their head have fused together and the feeding mouth parts have grown longer and moved up a little; in fact the whole front end has gotten wider in order to accommodate more food intake. While it still is a detritivore/scavenger, it won't shy away from gobbling up the odd amoebavar colony or two while it slowly sifts through the sand.
However the more striking feature they have is their spike tail. The joints have evolved into a more efficient stabbing tail, which it extends with great speed to stab attackers; like its ancestor it will quickly bury its body in the soil before striking. Other than these adaptations, its the same as its ancestor.
