Ancestor:Descendants:

The shelfshroom has split from its ancestor, the stalkshroom. Like its ancestor it lives off other organisms, specifically flora. It has moved to the alpine region and lives directly on the trunks of the different alpine flora. Its cap has grown twice the size of its ancestor and the stem very short and stout. They release their sticky spores when a creatures knock them off. They have no pigment of their own and will absorb whatever pigment they get from the organism they are attached to. This usually means brown or blue since those are the colors of the alpine flora around.
