The sila split from the flashkelps genus group. It lives in Wright Tropical Riparian where it was mostly devoid of macro species. It lives in the shallow parts of the river. Its leaves have split into two separate primitive leaves. They have no vascular system and are very small. They are not very thick so their cells can still preform cellular respiration. Its root system however have advanced to allow it to survive in both high and low water levels. This helps it during the rainy season.
Like its ancestors it absorbs red light with its green chloroplasts and reproduces via mitosis. They can produce a flash of light when harmed. This sets off a chain reaction within a cluster thus scaring away any predators with eyes. They have a strong cell walls which help them keep their leaf-like shape.
