The silisetia split from its ancestor, the glassetia and completely abandoned its photosynthetic life-style. Instead it now only relays on the silica it consumes to gain energy. It no longer stays near the water edge and now lives on the bottom of the river where the silica is abundant. It has lost its flagella and now has a single reproduction hair it uses for conjunction with others of its specie. In the end of the hair there are tiny hairs that built up to a brush like figure. When two of these brushes meet DNA is transferred between them.
