Arctic Hookmouth Phlyer

The skewerface phlyer split from its ancestor. It hunts by flying over the Jujubee Polar Sea seeking out aquatic life that happens to swim to the surface, once spotting a victim they dive-bomb into the water and skewer it, sometimes they miss in which case they have a moment to lash out at the prey or swim after it in the confusion in hopes of capturing it. Their hind limbs are stronger and larger for swimming, their wings and front limbs fold back further and more tightly to be more streamlined, their stabilizers have shrunken for the same purpose. They will stay on the edges of the Global glacier for raising their young and resting. Although they can also rest on the open water doing so would put them in danger of being attacked by their cousin the cuddlebug phlyer.
