Ancestor:Descendants:

The snow puff evolved from the berry puff flower. It has evolved the ability to survive in very cold environments. Using a form of antifreeze, it can stay in bloom even in the winter, but it thrives in the summer when the ice melts. Thanks to the Glicker Mountain chain, it has spread from pole to pole on Glicker. It needs very little nutrients and can even stay dormant in ice and snow until it thaws. Like its ancestor, it has no problem in high altitudes either. Its puffy spores are what made it so successful. It no longer produces a berry, since few animals are around to eat it. As a result, it also no longer uses seeds. In its dormant state, it is only a lump of roots. If these break apart, it can grow back when there is enough light. In short, it thrives in cold harsh environments such as the tundra, alpine, and rocky areas. If it gets too warm, it will die.
